Editorial Policy

SnapLyrics publishes short videos built around words — stories, thoughts, wisdom, quotes and motivation — and a music database with tempo, key and Camelot data. This page explains the standards we apply to both.

Videos, quotes and stories

• Words first. Every published video has its full text on the page, a topic and tags, so it can be read, searched and quoted without sound.
• Honest sources. Content is either original, published with the creator's permission, or in the public domain. When a text is attributed to a person, we only publish the attribution if we can verify it.
• Real creators only. We never invent creator names, profiles or engagement. View, like and share counts come from real visitors.
• AI-assisted content is labelled. Videos rendered by our own tools are marked as generated, and we review every piece before it is published.
• Quality over volume. We do not publish thin, repetitive or keyword-stuffed pages. Topic pages are only indexed once they contain enough content to be useful.

Music data

• Song metadata comes from public music catalogues; tempo, key and energy are measured by audio analysis. Camelot codes are calculated directly from the measured key.
• We do not publish song lyrics or audio we do not have the rights to, and we never show made-up values — if a measurement is missing, the page says so.

Corrections

If you find an error in a transcript, an attribution or a song's data, please tell us through the contact page. We review every report and update the page when a correction is confirmed.
